My Must Have Eye Brushes

Wednesday 22 April 2015

Eye makeup is probably my favourite part of doing my makeup. I love eye brushes and over the years I've accumulated quite a few.

This is probably the one brush that I would consider most important in my makeup routine. The Sigma E40 blending brush is perfect for blending out any colour. Its amazing. It makes my whole makeup routine a lot quicker and my eye makeup blend out so much more flawlessly.

First off, I know the tape around this brush does not stand to the quality of this brush but it happened within the first week I had it because I washed it wrong, but since then I have had no fall out with this brush. This is the Essence smokey eye brush, it was one of the first eye brushes that I ever used and i've never not had this at hand during my makeup, so for me it really is a staple. Its the perfect brush for placing colour in the crease and it blends out pretty well too. A great option if you're on a budget.

This brush is a more recent favourite of mine. Its from H&M and I'm really surprised at how great it is for a quick nicely blended eye look.I've had it for a while but never really paid much attention to it if I'm honest. You can use it to lay a shadow on the lid and also use it to blend a lighter colour through the crease. Another great option if you're on a budget.

My final favourite is this shader brush is from Urban decay. This is a fairly basic item in my collection but its just such a good one, and I like it a lot. There will obviously be options that are just as good for a lot cheaper, but this one came with Naked Palette, and ever since I just really love using it.

A Youtuber Product | Ruth Crilly & Colab Dry Shampoo

Wednesday 15 April 2015

I've wanted to try this for ages ever since, I started to see it pop up across blogs and vlogs from England raving about it. I found mine in penny's on Connolly street. They only had 3 scents but this does comes in 5 different scents. London, Paris,New York, Rio & Tokyo. The one I picked up was London. Mainly because it smells UNBELIEVABLE. I wish this scent came as a perfume. Thats how much I love it. It smells sort of floral and musky but also elegant at the same time. I don't generally get greasy hair so I can't vouch for how well it absorbs oil but it builds volume like nothing else. I love it. I find it builds volume while not leaving any kind of residue which is something I really really like. They have also released a COLAB Extreme volume range which I would really love to get my hands on.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

Favourite Neutral Shadows

Saturday 11 April 2015

Basically all I wear on my eyes is neutral shadows. I love the way they look and believe it or not theres a million different ways to wear them. My first favourite is a pretty obvious one. The Original Naked Palette is a cult favourite when it comes to neutral shadows. It has 12 gorgeous neutral shades that you can use a billion (roughly) different ways. I'm not going to bang on about these for too long because everyone's heard about it and if you're thinking about getting one I would definitely recommend getting it. My only gripe with this is the packaging gets filthy. A small price to pay for great shadows though.

My other favourite neutral shadows are the Essence eye shadow Quattro in 'To Die For'. Its very inexpensive and it was one of the first makeup items I ever bought. It has gorgeous pigmentation and the shadows are so easily blendable. It's something I use almost every time I do my makeup and definitely a holy grail Item for me. A great one if you're just starting out in makeup and are trying to figure out what works for you.
