Soap And Glory Supercat Eyeliner | Review

Sunday 2 November 2014

You can never have to many liquid liners. I was shopping the other day and picked this up in boots for €8. I think that's such a steal for what this eyeliner is.
The packaging, as with most soap and glory stuff, is so cute. The only thing about the packaging is that the top of the pen doesn't click onto the bottom when you use it. A really minor thing, but its something that annoys me because it makes me afraid i'm going to lose the lid.
As for the actual liner itself, it's really dark and pigmented. It makes it really easy to get a nice thin line or a thick one depending on which you fancy. For  doing a flick on the end its super easy to use too. For me it did take a bit of getting use to because i'm not used to the whole marker scenario. Once I did get the hang of it though, I really really liked it. It lasts ages too which is always lovely.

A MAC haul.

Saturday 4 October 2014

Last week I went to the ploughing championships, if you're not from Ireland and don't know what that is, its a massive competition and theres lots of stalls and booths where you can buy food, clothes etc. I'm pretty sure no matter where I go I can sniff out makeup and this was no exception. I managed to find a little stall selling REALLY discounted mac stuff. I'm not sure how legal or not this stuff is but it was majorly cheap so I just couldn't miss the opportunity.
The first thing I picked up was a lipstick in the shade 'Bright Pink' from the Lady Gaga collection. Its just a really pretty blue-toned pink. I'm not really a pink lipstick person but I quite liked the shade so and ,again, it was very cheap so why not?
The second item I picked up was a blush in the shade 'Dolly Mix'. In the pan it looks quite intimidating and very very bright. It can definitely go this way on the skin if you're very heavy handed with it but if you apply a very light amount it gives a really nice natural pink effect.

High end makeup wish list #2

Sunday 21 September 2014

Recently i've noticed my self lusting after quite a few high end items. Recently I've been  really wanting to try something from Charlotte Tilbury. The packaging is absolutely fab! Plus i've heard some really great things about the range too!
The next thing on my list is the Marc Jacob's Daisy dream perfume. Like wise I've heard a lot about this, having smelt the rest of the perfumes in this range and really liked them, from the description of this, I think I will really like this. and the packaging is enough to win me over anyway.
I was in MAC yesterday and spotted the full face kits. They're really good value for money, on the box itself it said the total value was €90 and it was being sold for €60. Plus I think they'd be great for travelling.  The final thing on my list is some Zoeva brushes. I've heard some really great things about these and they seem relatively inexpensive for the quality too.

Whats on your high end makeup wish list?

10 facts about me #TeenBlogSeries

Tuesday 26 August 2014

This project was started by anouska and Beth. I think its a great way to introduce new teenage beauty and fashion bloggers to each other and also a great way to stop bloggers block! If you want to join just check out either of their blogs!

Fact 1- I love dogs! I'm defiantly more of a dog person than a cat person, and I can't stand  those really annoying yippy small dogs either. Strictly a big dog person. My family have a fab golden retriever, who's actually white, called Harry ( Yes after Harry Potter ).

Fact 2- I hate overly peppy/happy people. I'm not saying I hate all happy people or begrudge anyone of happiness at all. I just hate those people, Girls in particular, that scream because they haven't seen their friend in two days or are insanely unnecessarily loud and happy at 9 am on a monday morning.

Fact 3- I love music. Despite the fact that I can't sing or play an instrument. I do own a guitar but have many failed attempts at trying to learn, we also had to learn the thin whistle in primary school but I was horrendous at that. I just love listening to music, finding new bands and going to concerts.

Fact 4- I live in the arsehole of no where in Ireland. When I say arsehole of no where I mean next door neighbours are a field of cows type of nowhere. I hate where i'm from so much and as soon as I have the money I'm gone travelling and I'll probably live in new york for a prolonged period of time.

Fact 5- I have an obsession with New York. I blame gossip girl for starting this obsession. I mean being from a very rural area I guess you can see my reasoning for being fascinated with big cities and new york in particular. I think the new york skyline is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Fact 6- I love Horror movies. My friends hate them, and hate me most of the time for making them watch them, but I love a good horror and the suspense. Just brilliant.

Fact 7- I'm generally a very honest person and I HATE being lied to. I am guilty of telling a little white lie every now and them but so is everybody. I just hate it when someone thinks you're better off being lied to rather than hurting you're feelings. I can't stand that I mean who wants to only know half a situation?

Fact 8- I love to read. I was so much more of a book worm when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I read all 7 harry potter books in 6 weeks when I was 11. As i've gotten older I've grown out of it slightly, but when i'm on holidays or have a few days with nothing to do then I'll really get into it. My all time favourite book is Looking for Alaska by John Green.

Fact 9- I'm Short. I'm just nearly 5'4. I actually quite like my height and would kind of like to be a little smaller, is that weird?

Fact 10- I'm 16 and going into 5th year in secondary school (ew)

Review: Gosh blush in 39 electric pink.

Wednesday 20 August 2014

I was looking through my Blush collection earlier on and I found this, and Remembered I never did a review on it. This is some thing I bought a while back, I really liked the colour and I quite liked the idea of a bright pink blush.

At first glance I really liked the packaging but overtime it just gets grimy and dirty looking. The name  ' Electric pink' causes to you to think that it would be a really pigmented bright pink. Not the case at all.

When I swatched it I was disappointed to find that it was more of a rosy light pink colour, and not much like the colour in the pan. When you go to apply it to the cheek, it takes a good few swipes in the pan to get any pigmentation out of it. When applied to the cheek, it does give a nice flushed look, but it doesn't last very long which is a big downer.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

The Liebster awards!

Tuesday 5 August 2014

I was nominated by the lovely Aoife Jane of Aoifejanebeauty. I love the idea behind this, which is basically to connect lesser know bloggers and also spread the word about each other. If you receive this award you have to:
  • You must link back to the person who nominated you.
  • You must answer the 11 questions given to you by the person who nominated you.
  • After completing these questions you must nominate 11 bloggers and give them 11 questions of your choice to answer. (Must have less than 200 followers)
  • You are not allowed to nominate the person who nominated you.
  • Make sure you let the nominee’s know that they have been nominated and provide a link to your post for them, so they are able to learn about it.

The questions-

1- Strong eyes and nude lip or strong lip and basic eyes?

This is sort of a difficult question. Can I say both or is that cheating? Because it's really depending on the day thats in it. If its just a lazy day and I don't really feel like doing any spectacular makeup wise, I'll just do a really neutral eye and a bold lip. But if I'm feeling particularly fancy, then I'll go for a strong eye and a slightly less bold lip. I really don't like nude lips on my self they make me look somewhat like a corpse.

2- Neat or Messy hair?
Messy all the way. I can't stand when my hair's too neat. I have to pull a piece out or scrunch it or something so its not too perfect.

3-  If you could only wear one designer for the rest of your life who would you choose?
I don't wear much designer personally. ( mainly because I can't afford it ). But from seeing their stuff in store and in photo's I do really like Alexander Mcqueen. What fab clothes they make. If I did have to pick one evening wear designer though, it would be Ziad Nakad. If you haven't laid eyes on any of his fab creations, I suggest you do so immediately.

4- Celebrity crush and why?
Michael Clifford. Have you seen him? Need I say more?

5- Favorite TV series/movie/book?
I have watched quite an abundance of TV shows in my time. If I had to pick my top three it would be : breaking bad, Dexter (seasons 1-6 it just got dumb as fuck after that ) and American horror story. My favourite book would be looking for alaska by John Green, I'm a massive fan of all of his work. and my favourite movie is a toss up between Into the wild and ten things I hate about you.

6- Wild night out or cosy night in?
Cosy night in 100 times over. I'm not really a crazy going out person if I'm honest.

7-  Who’s your ultimate style icon (and post a pic of your favorite look of theres)
I honestly don't have one singular style icon. I have so many different people I love so many different looks from. I honestly just couldn't choose one.

8- All white or all black outfit for a night out?
All black, all day every day

9- Most played song on your phone/ipod/mp3?
I'm pretty sure it'd be Everybody talks by The neon trees or Heaven knows by The pretty reckless.

10- What would be a ultimate festival lineup and why?

My ultimate festival line up would probably be ' The 1975, Kodaline, Haim, 5 seconds of summer and some other indie bands that I've never heard of. Because those bands are fab and I love discovering new music!

11- If you have an opportunity to create your own theme park (i.e. like Disneyland) what would it be like and where would it be?
Ideally I'd love it to be in new york city because that's just my dream like, most people have honestly no idea how badly I want to go there. They would all be adrenaline rush inducing massive badass roller coasters. That's my favourite thing about theme parks, and also I wouldn't make it super duper expensive because some theme parks are just crazy money to get into.

Highend Makeup Wish-list

Tuesday 8 July 2014

As a teenager, who can't seem to find a year around job, it's rare if I can afford to buy ' High end makeup '.  I have a summer job ( Thank fuck) so by the end of the summer, after saving something for a car next year,  I'll have something left to spend on myself. As any makeup lover would, I complied a list of the items that are slightly pricier. This little list makes me so excited. I have wanted all of these products for ages. What I'm personally most excited about getting is the MAC rebel lipstick. I love a really bold lip colour and this is infamous for it. The NARS creamy concealer, again infamous. I've never tried a NARS product and I think this would be  a great product to start with. The Hourglass ambient lighting blush is something I've lusted over forever! They look so beautiful both in the pan and on the cheek. The final item, the Lorac Pro pallet, is just wow. I don't think there are any other words. Its such a beautiful neutrals pallet.
Are there any other products I should add to my list?

Review: Wet N' Wild Megaliner

Friday 13 June 2014

Sorry for the lack of posts guys I've been off sunning myself in sunny spain! but onwards and upwards. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple months you'll know that Wet N' Wild has landed on Irish shores. And all Beauty bloggers basically lost their shit over it. I really wanted to try this liner as it had been hyped up and talked about a lot on blogs and such.

On first impressions this liner looks pretty good. It as nice really slick looking packaging and the brush feels solid yet moveable at the same time. A really good combination in a liquid liner. As for the formula i'm not a big fan. It applies nicely and its not too runny, which is a problem I've come across with some liquid liners. It applied a really nice pigmented dark black. As it wore for a few hours it started to fade. When I finally took it off at the end of the day the edges of my winged liner weren't as crisp and clean as they were at the start and the colour was less pigmented.

Overall I would not be a fan of this liner. I wouldn't recommend it as there are better liners out there for the same price or cheaper even.

Also if you guys look in the side bar there's a button to nominate me for the Irish blog awards 2014 and I'd really love you guys to nominate me ;)
