Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque*

Thursday, 7 July 2016

Since I've been stressed in the last couple of months my skin has really been acting up. I generally have really dry skin, that doesn't really get too bad. I received this masque not too long ago and I've really been liking it.

I really love the simplistic Dermalogica packaging. The masque has a really strong minty scent to it, which I quite like. I usually use it in the shower, as I find thats the easiest method because it can be a little hard to wash it all off. As with all charcoal masques its really black in colour and very thick. I usually just apply it with my hands and let it sit for 6/7 minutes. Once I was it off my skin feels really clean and has a noticeable glow. I find that this glow doesn't last very long though so I like to use it if I'm going somewhere where I want my skin to look nice for a few hours.

This masque retails at €48.00. Personally I think thats ridiculously expensive for the product. While I do like it for making my skin look good in the short-term, I don't find it does enough for it in the long-term to justify the price. I won't be repurchasing this myself, but I do really like it for immediate results.

*This item was sent to me but this post contains no bullshit!

Have you tried this?

PS... Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Pennys' (primark in the rest of Europe) makeup and beauty range 'PS...' is becoming increasingly popular. Their brushes in particular have gained a lot of popularity, because they're really good quality at really, really good prices.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Friday, 26 February 2016

Micellar waters are the biggest thing in skincare recently. From Bioderma to Garnier, almost every skincare brand has one. Simple has always been one of my favourite skin care brands and when I saw the had one, I really wanted to try it. I was apprehensive as I had already tried the Garnier and it broke me out pretty bad.

Spring Blushes

Wednesday, 17 February 2016

I'm always trying to change up my makeup routine because I find it very easy to become stuck in my ways. In spring I do like a nice coral blush, because I'd usually go for a pink. The first blush that I think will be really pretty for spring is the Catrice blush in the shade Love + peach. This is definitely the pinker of the two coral shades. It can go on very heavily so a light hand is probably best with this. However, it doesn't have any glitter but still gives a fab glow.

January Favourites

It most seem like every blogger says this every month, but this month has gone by so so quickly.Ive gotten to try a lot of new makeup recently, and I've discovered some really great bits.

NYX | Tame And Frame Brow Pomade

Saturday, 23 January 2016

I have been wanting to try a brow pomade for a while. I'd heard so many positive things about the Anastasia dip bro pomade and while its not mega mega expensive, its still about €17. I was looking at at NYX stand recently and saw this. It is small in size but it was only €7.25. I decided to get it as I wanted to try it and see if I would be able to use it and if I liked the consistency etc.

The Wet Brush | Is It Worth The Hype?

Sunday, 17 January 2016

I'd heard lots of things about the wet brush and how it was the best thing since the start of time itself when it comes to detangling hair. I'd wanted one for a while but they were very hard to come by in ireland. Until about 3 weeks ago when I saw they were stocked in Bradleys Pharmacy in blanchardstown. I didn't want to buy the most expensive one if it wasn't going to live up to the hype. The one pictured is the smallest size and it cost me €11.99.

An Essential For Those Cold Winter Days*

Friday, 1 January 2016

If you've been reading this blog for a while you'll know that I have very dry skin and also suffer from eczema. I'm constantly on the hunt for new and different things to try and relieve the itch and get rid of the redness associated with eczema. I was recently send the Bioderma Actoderm creme*, and its become one of my favourite things to use. First of all, it is a VERY heavy moisturiser. If you have oily skin or line thats just not really dry you probably won't like this. At times when I used it, too many times in a row I find it sort of sits on my skin rather than being soaked in.
